Synopsis
This one day program will enlighten you on how to handle grievances raised by your staff and how to take disciplinary action,
including dismissal, correctly and with confidence.

It will cover Grievance Handling & Disciplinary Procedure as well as how to conduct Inquiry before dismissing an employee.
Objectives
At the end of the programme, participant should be able to:
- Understand what are Grievances
- Develop Procedure for Grievance-Handling
- Establish what is discipline and how do to discipline staff fairly
- Understand Disciplinary procedure, Progressive Discipline and Hot-Stove Rules
- Know what is the difference between termination of service and dismissal
- Know what must be done to promote good HR practices at the workplace
Facilitator
Mr Chia Boon Cher (MA, HRD Bsc, (Econs)(Hons) has 16 years of experience in industrial relations at the Ministry of
Manpower.  He also brings with him practical experiences in the private sectors, having worked at SNEF and multi-national
and large local corporations.
