While every effort is being made by employers to keep their factories and workplaces safe and free of occupational diseases, accidents and unexpected illnesses related to the work environment do occur. If this happens, what are the employees’ rights and what are the employers’ obligations?

- Understand what are the changes under the revised Work Injury Compensation Act - Explain if a worker is entitled to Work Injury Compensation if he is involved in a bus accident while on the way to work

Mr Chia Boon Cher (MA, HRD Bsc, (Econs)(Hons) has 16 years of experience in industrial relations at the Ministry of Manpower. He also brings with him practical experiences in the private sectors, having worked at SNEF and multi-national and large local corporations.
