Synopsis

|
Setting up a BCM program can be a daunting task. There are many potential grey areas, question marks and generally seems like a big black box, especially if an individual or company is new to the task. This basic awareness course aims to arm participants with a keen understanding of the basic principles of BCP, disaster recovery, complying to certifications standards and knowing the resources available to them to facilitate the implementation of a quality BCP program in their organisation. This course will give participants the necessary knowledge and awareness to lead their organisations in starting a full fledge BCP program. It will also touch on the newly implemented Singapore Standard SS540:2008 for Business Continuity Management (BCM). Explaining the framework and how it interlaces with the basic tenets of BCM.
