Synopsis
|

Setting up a BCM program can be a daunting task. There are many potential grey areas, question marks and generally seems
like a big black box, especially if an individual or company is new to the task. This basic awareness course aims to arm
participants with a keen understanding of the basic principles of BCP, disaster recovery, complying to certifications standards
and knowing the resources available to them to facilitate the implementation of a quality BCP program in their organisation.
This course will give participants the necessary knowledge and awareness to lead their organisations in starting a full fledge
BCP program. It will also touch on the newly implemented Singapore Standard SS540:2008 for Business Continuity
Management (BCM). Explaining the framework and how it interlaces with the basic tenets of BCM.

understanding and appreciation of the different needs particular to each industry. Desmond wants to help businesses and
